Read replicas in the regions where your users are

Serve reads close to your users from replicas in any supported region on a paid plan. Conjoin copies each write to a replica in the same region in under 1ms and to a replica in another region in about 30 to 150ms.

Move reads closer to your users

Conjoin sends each read to the replica closest to the user who makes it, in whichever regions you create replicas. Conjoin replicates every write to those replicas over two paths at once: a fast path, over which it updates them within milliseconds, and a durable path through storage, which it uses to bring a replica up to date when the fast path is unavailable.

Read replicas that keep up with your writes

Fast-path replication

Over an in-process replication channel, Conjoin applies each change to the replicas in the region of the primary in < 1ms. Replicas in other regions receive the same change in ~30-150ms.

Durable fallback

Conjoin also writes every change to durable storage and uses that storage as a second replication path. When the fast path is unavailable, Conjoin guarantees that each replica catches up from durable storage within 1-10 seconds.

Multi-region deployment

Place replicas in any supported region. Conjoin routes each read to the nearest replica, so you change no application code when you add a region.

Lag monitoring

Conjoin reports the replication lag of each replica in real time. Set an alert on a lag threshold so that you hear about a replica that falls behind before your users read stale data from it.

Replicas scale with paid plans

Conjoin bills each replica separately on the Pro, Business, and Enterprise plans, so you can add replicas on demand. A database on the Free tier has no replicas.

Restore modes

When Conjoin restores data to a replica, you choose the restore mode. A full restore copies the complete database to the replica, while an on-demand restore fetches data from storage as your application requests it.

Conjoin Live integration

Conjoin Live captures changes from the same replication pipeline that Conjoin uses for your replicas. Your replicas serve reads, while Conjoin Live streams the same changes to frontends, search indexes, and event consumers.

Zero-downtime provisioning

Conjoin adds or removes a replica while the primary and the other replicas keep serving traffic. Conjoin configures each new replica itself and starts sending it data through the replication pipeline at once.

Build faster with solutions designed for real-world needs

Put a read replica in each region where your users are

Create read replicas in the regions closest to your users. Conjoin directs each read to the nearest one, which shortens the round trip for a user who is far from your primary.

Impact

A read from a replica in the same region as your application completes in < 1ms, while a round trip to a primary on another continent can take 100ms or more. Conjoin chooses the replica for each read, so your code contains no routing rules.

Spread read traffic across many replicas

As you add read replicas, Conjoin spreads the reads from analytics dashboards, reporting queries, and product listings across them, while the primary processes the writes.

Impact

Conjoin serves the read traffic from the replicas, so the primary uses its CPU and connections for writes.

Read fresh data with millisecond-level replication

Conjoin updates the replicas in the region of the primary over the fast path in < 1ms. If the lag of a replica passes the threshold that you configure, Conjoin alerts you.

Impact

Conjoin gives you read-after-write consistency within a region, where a replica trails the primary by less than a millisecond.

Add a replica with one call and let Conjoin configure it

Create a replica with one call to the API or one action in the Console. Conjoin applies the replication settings to the replica and starts sending it data straight away.

Impact

You provision no server and write no replication settings for the new region, because Conjoin does both when you create the replica.

Build your next app on Conjoin

Conjoin will open with a free Build tier, while the pricing page already lists the launch prices for Pro and Business. If you tell us what you're building, we'll talk you through early access.
